********UPDATE************

Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 is the first runtime release of the Open Screen Project that enables uncompromised Web browsing of expressive applications, content and video across devices. With support for a broad range of mobile devices, including smartphones, netbooks, smartbooks and other Internet-connected devices, Flash Player 10.1 allows your content to reach your customers wherever they are.

I did an uninstall of flash prior to installing this one.
It is available here http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
From my experimentation it seems to clear up the issues that we had found with Flash on OSX Snow Leopard
We have tested the release and have found it to clear up the issues that we reported to Adobe
There is a great write up about it here

Hope this clears things up for everyone.
****************************
We have found a considerable issue with Flash while running on 2 Macs with Snow Leopard.
Situation occurs during an upload sequence from flash. So anyone who has a Flash uploader on their site might want to take note. It appears that once a user proceeds through our upload sequence we have an issue where there seems
Scenario:
- User is within a Flash interface (ConceptShare)
- User selects to upload a file
- User initiates the system upload file dialog.
- User selects file.
- System Dialog window closes
- User is then forced to gain focus (multiple clicks) on all objects while browser remains open, or browser is restarted
This has been noted on two of our machines that are running Snow Leopard. The third machine that is not running Snow Leopard is not affected. All three machines have the same Flash Player installed which happens to be the most recent version.
We are looking at all things to remedy this issue, But it appears to be an Adobe issue. From what we have noted there are a few other people experienceing issues with uploaders around the web but no one has really put together the dots.
Cheers
Scott

NewsFlash People!! THIS IS A CRITICAL ISSUE ON BASIC LEOPARD TOO (10.5.8) . Not only does it affect any flash running on my Macbook but it BREAKS THE INSTALLERS & UNINSTALLERS.. and in EVERY BROWSER>
At first it was thought to be just firefox with it’s horrid incompatability with FaceBook etc… now it has wrecked my Safari as well as I have turned to OPERA in depseration and now it is screwed too… I am furious that ADOBE pretends this is NOT an issue… or that it is only related to some sites. THIS HAS COST ME thousands of dollars!!! I play online backgammon for money and can not even GET THROUGH a tourney , progressing from one bracket to the next without the REDRAW issue, undefined, null, blank frames and i have lost so much money I am FURIOUS> How dare you act like this is nit CRITICAL ADOBE when i have more than 50 links i have documented that all have similiar issues… all such a mystery at first and few were osting but I HAVE HAD TO LOOK LONG ENOUGH FOR A WORKARPOUND THAT I HAVE FOUND MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER ACKNOWLEDGE!!!
This is disgraceful… all was fine until the update and YOU SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for your lack of response… negligence and APATHY! I have gathered so much that I can not WAIT to post it everywhere… I am a Mac user for 20 years as well as PC// I am also a PUBLICIST and shall take great pleasure in PUBLICIZING my findings as I compile the growing MOUNTAIN of problems you have created for FireFox PC users and ALL MAC USERS!!!! it all started with the first link…and goes on and on and on if you dig enough.
This first blog titled IS FF ON A MAC UNUSABLE was back in 2007 due to the flash problem but thought then only to be FF. Ha. I wish. It has only gotten worse.

We have also run into this problem. We experience the problem when opening the file browser on 3 different computers with snow leopard installed, all running the same version of flash. No problem occurs when running the site on computers that are not running snow leopard. Have you found out any fixes for this?

This is a really big problem for us since we primarily use the Mac OSX 10.6.
Are there any updates on this issue?

Yeah i also encountered this problem. it also seems to affect the MOUSE_OVER and the MOUSE_OUT events. Once the system dialog is closed, nothing happens on any hover-action, even on built-in components.
and the list component won’t work properly anymore..
what a pity!
cheers

I have found that most sites work, but The Onion flash videos do not work at all with Firefox and Snow Leopard. With Safari, the videos work once and end abruptly, freezing the browser!

For now it seems that the best workaround is using Safari which seems to work great.
