Using ConceptShare on a Wacom Bamboo
{ January 7th, 2009 }
I wanted to share a great video that Dalton from Expression College created showing off ConceptShare. I love it. This is a great video that has been done in conjunction with Wacom to show off their really cool tablet technology. I really like the job that Dalton and there is a whole collection of videos in this Wacom series. Glad we could be apart of it. Thanks Everyone!
A bit of background on Wacom and ConceptShare. Both Bernie and I have been using Wacom tablets for the last 4 years and have loved them. I have actually been a big pusher of the technology to anyone who uses computers on a regular basis. I think that they are much better for the wrist. The other great thing is the affordability of the units …. there is no price barrier there …. I think that we picked up our latest bamboo’s for under 79 bucks. Worth every penny.
I know a few people who have made the switch and are getting very used to the idea of the pen and aren’t looking back to the mouse.
Cheers
Scott

Good stuff.
I’ve been using a WACOM tablet since 2001 and would never go back to doing creative functions using the mouse. I’ve gone through many a mouse but I still have my original Graphire 7+ years later.

I have been looking at the pen quite a bit, I’ll need to explore this more deeply with my tablet.

You know I know a lot of people who are outside of the design world who are using the tablet. It certainly excels in the design world but it is certainly relevant across the spectrum of computer users.
I am no expert on ergonomics but I have to assume that this is better for my wrist then a mouse, don’t want to feel that carpal tunnel pain. Lets face it if you are spending the time reading blogs, you probably are a candidate for that type of repetitive stress injury.
It really does rock for any design program.
Cheers
