I wrote a post earlier this week that I wish I didn’t. I was dealing with as one of the commenters on the story put it … an asshat.  A guy from a recruiting company that after our call went south made a point of calling me back and telling me how he was going to basically strip the talent from my company because I wouldn’t work with him.

I should have done the proper thing and ignored the slack jawed yokel and gone on with my day. However I did the opposite thing and went down a path that I haven’t in the past and shouldn’t have. I decided to share the experience with my readers and write a blog post about the experience.

Suddenly I sunk into the gutter with Slimey McSlimerton and I became the asshat right along side him. It wasn’t until a stranger sent me an email and told me.

“I did not hear this call, nor am I defending this company or the person whom you spoke of.  I just think your company is a solid one…or at least I did until I read your blog…and reading something like what you wrote makes me question your level of class and professionalism.”

So why do I write this? Well I guess sometimes you have to stand up …or sit down at the computer and eat crow. I lowered myself to a level that I am not comfortable with. I said things that I still believe to be true, but I did not need to be shared with my readers. So to my readers I do apologize, I hope that you can write that post off to me getting hot under the collar going off and writing in a fit of rage. A momentary lapse of reason if you will. I won’t happen again.

Cheers,

Scott

It is funny that I found that post to be one of the top results when searching for “pentacan gary” on google. I did so, because he contacted me about a challenging Job opportunity as a web developer through Monster. He also told me “Your resume on monster.ca does not have a name or contact number on it… You may want to update that”. I guess he doesn’t understand privacy…
