Guys I am glad you are as excited about this as we are.

There are a couple of things. If you want to join the labs.conceptshare.com project space let me know. send email to support@conceptshare.com. We are in the midst of discussion over the new designs. This is the space where we use ConceptShare to innovate ConceptShare.

Our clients are looking forward to this feature. It will be a excellent integration into the workflow that the system sets up. I can share how a client is using the system now.

They are a mid sized (30 +) employees company that produces interactive media for a wide variety of clients that range from pharma to car companies. The are at any one time working on 40 active projects that range in length from quick 2 week turn around jobs to complex 6 month long engagements.

They have 8 project leads and a slew of talented people that fill roles. When they start a new project they set up a workspace in their ConceptShare system. Their project start from the cocktail napkin sketches and grow the workspace as the designs are refined. This ensures that when they do get to the production stage they have figured the entire project out from a story board which they can change much easier then the video.

The ability to mark up the video will ensure that the entire team is on the same page when it comes to the final editing of the piece. Thus setting up the final step in the process.

Looking forward to sharing this feature with all of our users! BTW if you think this is exciting ...you should see what we have planned after this!

@ TY we have been very open with our product and have shared it extensively with out concern for who is seeing it. So it would be safe to assume that with such openness you will undoubtedly get people who find 'inspiration' in what we have designed.

cheers

@ Jacob: The formats are something that we want to test heavily. Expect the popular ones (windows media, quicktime flash etc) to come out right away and askew ones to come later.

@ Ty: Video was always a goal along with Flash and audio. We feel we are setting the pace with alot of our ideas and we have so many more to come that we think will really set us apart and leave the pack. If you become a user ping me to get on our labs team.

This is great news! The lack of support for video was one of my biggest concerns when I first discovered Conceptshare last week. Octopz offers it, however it looks as if they took their notes out of your book when designing their application.

[...] Now ConceptShare is moving from image-based collaboration into rich media: audio, video and flash. Adding new media types only enhances the application’s value to a wide audience of designers and their customers, while retaining the key differentiator of the original: you don’t have to book a meeting to collaborate. ConceptShare is based on the simple but powerful idea that meetings suck. [...]
