innovate daily

{ September 1st, 2006 }

Ideas.

Some are crazy and get laughed off.

Some you shelve for later or meld with other ideas.

Some get drawn on paper.

Some get pursued.

The one thing they all have in common is the need to share these ideas. An idea is nothing more then a thought until you share it. Once it is shared the the idea grows, it makes people passionate, it gets better.

It is important for companies to be continually pushing the innovation envelope. I see too many companies that need to innovate.

    Which companies? Who’s not innovating?

    Also, which ideas are crazy? Gandhi once famously said that all progress starts with being ridiculed (parahrased). Maybe the problem is we’re not being crazy enough.

    I know at least 25 companies that could innovate now. I am sure they know who they are. I am sure they want to innovate. but they are mired down in the putting out todays fires that they aren’t looking ahead far enough.

    this might be a future post …
